Dubrovnik pharmacy
Looking for one of the unique things to do in Dubrovnik… or even a world?

Don’t miss out on the opportunity of visiting probably the oldest pharmacy in Europe ever! It’s definitely a hidden gem in the city of Dubrovnik, as well as the Franciscan Monastery.

The old pharmacy, now featuring a museum, is located at the Placa, which is the main street of the city. You can find the Old Pharmacy Museum inside the complex of the Franciscan Monastery, next to the St. Saviour Church.

It won’t be hard to find because the beautiful cloisters inside the Monastery will lead you to the entrance! You can also enjoy the scent of orange trees planted in the inner courtyard of the Monastery.

The pharmacy is more like a working shop, and it still operates! You will be able to see many grinders and tools used to create pharmaceutical remedies dating from the times of old Ragusa. It’s also possible to buy some skin products made by traditional methods and old recipes.

We recommend you go at the end of the day because the pharmacy can get crowded easily.
